A badminton court is 13.4 m long and 6.1 m wide, with a net 1.524 m high in the middle. Singles uses the long, thin court; doubles the full width, with a shorter service area.

Space around the court
Courts need clear space around them and plenty of height above, because clears and lifts go high. Sports halls are usually marked out for several courts side by side.
