Tickets

The ECB's free ballot ran from 2 to 29 September 2026, and people drawn in the ballot buy their tickets in early October. Tickets left after that go on general sale at 10am on Wednesday 14 October 2026, from the ECB and from each ground. Expect them to go quickly, especially for Lord's and the first Test in Southampton.

Membership of a county, or of the ECB's free supporters' scheme, gets you earlier access at most grounds.

On TV in the UK

Every ball is live on Sky Sports, also streamed on NOW. The BBC shows highlights each evening, and Test Match Special has radio commentary.

What England need

Australia have held the urn since 2017–18. England have to win the series to take it back: a drawn series leaves the Ashes with Australia. How the series and the urn work is on the Ashes explained.
